General Rules
 
 
Asahi Orikomi will not handle the following types of advertisements considering advertising inserts' effect on society.
  1. Advertisements violating any laws or regulations, and advertisements that may violate them
  2. Advertisements with inexplicit contents or advertisements for which it is unclear where the responsibility lies
  3. Advertisements with false or inexplicit content which is likely to give rise to misunderstandings
  4. Advertisements using another person's name or photo without permission
  5. Advertisements containing expressions which arouse an excessive passion for gambling or speculation
  6. Fraudulent advertisements or advertisements which are regarded as advertising illicit commercial practices
  7. Non-scientific advertisements or advertisements that contain implications of superstitions that are likely to mislead consumers or to cause consumers concern
  8. Advertisements with the possibility of discrimination, defamation, invasion of privacy, destruction of credibility, interference with others' work or job
  9. Advertisements containing expressions disturbing the public order like those given below :
    • (1) The use of suggestive words, photos or illustrations which are considered to be harmful to the younger generation
      (2) Expressions with possibility of corrupting public morals and causing crimes
      (3) Advertisements in which extreme principles are stated regarding political issues
      (4) Advertisements which are regarded as ineligible - in our judgment - for publication because of degrading expressions or the anti-social expressions obstructing the performance of the newspaper's mission
